2021 Tree Sale
The new order form becomes available in January of each year and the sale continues until mid March. Trees are picked up in the spring, near the end of April or early May depending on weather conditions. The sale includes a variety of conifers, deciduous and shrubs. If you would like a order form sent to you, or would like to be added to the annual mailing list, please call: 608-326-0270.
Tree spades and a tree planter are available to rent. Call ahead to reserve the planter for the spring.

County Clean Sweep -
This event takes place in October and it is a great opportunity for residents to properly dispose of many chemicals and substances that may pose serious health and environmental hazards.The electronic recycling allows products such as televisions, computers, monitors, printers, keyboard, and DVD players to name a few. There are certain items the county will not be collecting. This includes appliances(washers, refrigerators, etc.) propane cylinders, radioactive, including smoke alarms.

Farmland Preservation / Working Land Initiative
Current Farmland Preservation contracts will be honored throughout the life of the contract. After expiration, please contact the office for more information or check out the links below.
Farmland Preservation Zoning
Currently two Townships in Crawford County have Certified Farmland Preservation Zoning Districts. These are the Townships of: Haney and Utica. State residents with land in these Townships can qualify for the $7.50 per acre tax credit if they meet all requirements.
Soil & Water Resource Management (SWRM) Cost Share Program
Each year DATCP allocates a certain amount of funds to provide cost sharing in Crawford County. Since the dollar amount of the grant is relatively small in comparison to the amount of cost share requests, the LCPZ has set a limit of 50% - 70% cost sharing up to $7,000 of total cost share. Cost sharing is available for a variety of the traditional conservation practices used in Crawford County.

Nutrient Management Planning
Nutrient Management is a way for Wisconsin farmers to ensure that their crops get the right source of nutrients at the right rate, time and place to match crop needs and minimize nutrient losses from fields.Nutrient management requires soil testing, record-keeping, crop management planning, and meeting state and federal standards.
Cost-sharing is available to implement a nutrient management plan.

Environmental Quality Incentives Program
The Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) is a voluntary conservation program offered through the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service. It supports production agriculture and environmental quality as compatible goals. Through EQIP, farmers may receive financial and technical help with structural and management conservation practices on agricultural land.

In effort to minimize close contact due to COVID-19, please make sure ALL items are loaded in the rear of the vehicle, trunk, or truck bed to be unloaded by event staff.
Stay in your vehicle at all times and the event staff will unload items at each station.

- Unused, damaged, cancelled, banned or otherwise unwanted agricultural chemicals, including herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, rodenticides, wood preservatives, finishes and veterinary supplies
- Household chemicals including paint, stain, solvents, acid washes, engine cleaners, used oil and anti-freeze
- Household CFL bulbs & fluorescent tubes will be accepted - qty over 25, a $.50 per bulb charge will apply
- We will collect up to 200 lbs. per household at no charge - Larger quantities will pay disposal charges
- Televisions & Microwaves - $10.00
- Dehumidifiers & Air Conditioners - $15.00
- Computers, Monitors, Laptops - NO CHARGE
- Misc. Electronics (printers, scanners, keyboards, VCR's, DVD players etc..) - NO CHARGE
- Radioactive, including smoke alarms
- Oil Filters
- Explosives & Ammunition
- Propane Cylinders & Compressed Gas Cylinders
- Appliances (washer, dryer, stoves, refrigerators etc..)
- DO NOT MIX unlike materials
- Leave materials in original container
- Leaking containers may be placed, as is, in another container - label outside container
