Emergency Preparedness
Local government must continually plan for and be aware of any natural disaster or other activity, which may threaten the lives and property of county residents. Public Health works with other governmental partners to assure safe food and water, emergency sheltering, educating the public before and during a disaster, protecting against emerging disease through immunization and education and dealing with any other health and safety issues that arises before and during an emergency and assists in recovery efforts after an emergency.
